Sponsored Living is certainly a roller coaster… some days are incredible, many days are incredibly tough. I’ve been fortunate enough to allow my $100 monthly emergency fund to only have to really fund some food purchases… however, supplies are dwindling. Deoderant I estimate to have 10 days left of. Bathroom tissue I’m good for another 2 weeks. Razors I have covered until end of March. Toothpaste will run out soon. Soap I’m nearly out of… I have about 3 dozen things on the back of my mind that I know will complicate life when they run out – but only push the issue to top priority when I’m down to the last couple days. That’s when it becomes essential.
Well… Toronto PR Firm Strategic Objectives may have just saved my mental state on a few things by essentially dropping me a survival kit of items. No word of a lie, it feels an action movie when the protagonist is right at the edge of losing… and then the tables turn on their head and he’s back in the game!
Honestly, you have no idea how good getting a box of ‘supplies’ feels… if you’ve ever read the book The Road (while terribly depressing), there’s one moment in it where you cannot help but smile and really feel for the man and his boy. That’s sort of what this feels like… sort of. Now, I naturally have to go through this one by one to show all the items within…
Four bottles of this Body Shop DeoDry deodorant is a godsend. Nothing I was fearing worse than smelling a little too ripe day by day. Now this deodorant is aluminium free, which I know some people argue the pros and cons about. The aluminium in most acts to plug the pores from what I understand and obviously, that means some is likely slipping into your body but it also results in less sweating… I, for one, prefer a more natural variety – as long as I smell good I’m happy.
The all mighty of paper products – the Cashmere bathroom tissue is a huge win for the day. This takes one thing off of my mind for a good month or two! And the dinner napkins certainly will be useful in my pasta + sauce messy habits. I was just saying yesterday how much I miss some paper products! Speaking of…
Two word: THANK GOD! Have you ever tried to blow your nose with toilet paper? It’s like it evaporates into your nose! Once you blow it once, when you wipe your undernose clean it just starts to fall apart… then you’re left looking like a toilet paper nose blower… that’s a thing right? Well it would have been, but not any more thanks to Scotties Supreme Facial Tissue! (Also, a lot more than two words…)
Oh hello old friend. Dentyne and I partnered back in 2012… and this year it certainly has been missed. You see, I am running out of toothpaste. I have MAYBE enough to get me to the end of the month – and the reason is, with so many meetings I have to brush my teeth before going. Not because they are dirty (I brush my teeth in the AM and may not eat before a meeting), but because I want my breath to smell fresh. So this helps to conserve the toothpaste!
I love treats! And this is one of my favourites. I’ve actually never had the Green & Black’s Organic Dark Chocolate with Crystallized Ginger before! I tried it immediately… it’s an interesting mix! The nice part about dark chocolate is it’s not the kind of thing you can eat all in one sitting.
For Razors, I’m now more than set for the year.. This package contains ten 4-packs… which means that come year end there are certainly going to be several packages that will be donated! Awesome. And now I have no more fears about turning into a savage bearded man.
Now I have some flexibility in my cereals in the morning… granola or the new Mini-Wheats Centres (Raspberry!) I had a couple bowls of this already and I swear it is delicious… I remember back in my day when mini-wheats were an old man breakfast. Now they’re something even a kid can enjoy. Mini-Wheats have an incredible ability to absorb milk… however, just snacking on them dry is delicious too! I’d love to see one with Strawberry filling!
Oh my god! SNACKS! Ahhh, you have no idea how much I have missed just being able to snack on something quickly and easily… I love how Kelloggs Special K has expanded their brand to include a granola bar and chips in addition to their wonderful cereal (Red Berries I still love you!) I’m almost scared to open these because I don’t know when I might have them again… and I want them to be around when I really need them. Ever felt that way?!
Oh beer, how I miss thee! A nice 6 pack of beer goes a long way and I cannot wait to pick them up. Though, maybe I should save them for the summer? Hmm… @CarlsbergCanada surely will host something this summer right?
All together… this was such an incredible box of goodies sent by Toronto PR Firm Strategic Objectives. They work with a ton of great brands (obviously) and have won so many awards… actually, if you’re interested in working with them you should check out their current job offer! They’re currently hiring an account director! A big thanks to them for this and I certainly look forward to working with them over the course of the year!
